DJ Cazz Interview
Have you ever wondered who the guy behind the good time of your night out is? The guy who makes you want to dance? Maybe the person who made you meet your current partner on the dancefloor? During a photonight out we bumped into DJ Cazz. Cazz is one of the regular DJ's at Kyoto's very famous club, Sam & Dave.
Q. How and why did you get started as a DJ?
A. I started playing hip-hop with my friends, when I was in high school. I wasn't great at rapping and holding a mic,
so I decided to become a DJ instead.
Q. How come you chose to be a DJ in your genre?
A. Because of influence of the people around me, and I really like this genre.
Q. Do you play with MP3, CD or vinyl?
A. After I started using Scratch Live when I DJ I had to switch to MP3.
Q. What do you think is the hardest part with being a DJ?
A. To spin music. It makes me nervous at times.
Q. What makes your set different from other DJ's in Kyoto?
A. I think not so many DJ's in Kyoto spin various genres of music, but I'm trying to spin any genre of music.
Not just attach myself to one genre.
Q. Where is your favourite place to play?
A. SAM&DAVE KYOTO is easy for me. I think it is because I'm a one of the regular DJs there.
Q. What is the worst set you had? What happened?
A. Accidents sometimes happen. One time, during my set, my computer froze and all of the data was removed.
Q. Which 3 records you cant DJ without?

- David Guetta Ft. Akon / Sexy Bitch (Chuckie & Lil Jon Remix)
- Diplo ft Afrojack / Pon De Floor (Laidback Luke Feat DJ Auri PS Version 2009) I often play these songs. No particular reason but just simply because I think these are cool.
Q. Where can we buy your mixCD?
A. You can buy it in CD shop and apparel store all over Japan.
For example, Manhattan Records, Diskunion, DMR.
